Are the 1995-99 Mitsubishi Eclipses, good durable cars?
Im thinking about buying one and im seventeen, I was wondering if this would be a good choice with an effiencent price?

My 16th birthday is comming soon and my parents are offering to buy me my first car but I don’t know which one I want to get. Of course its going to be used, and has to be under around $2800, which is not that hard to find on like craigslist in my area. I am looking for a “sporty” car but that is not a girly one. I mean I like how mitsubishi eclipses look but they are usually have alot of miles and apparently alot of people think they are women cars. And before anyone says anything, I do know that having a car like this will raise insurance rates and I am willing to pay for that. I am just looking for a car that is reliable, easily able to find new parts/aftermarket parts for, looks ok, and is somewhat safe lol. Is this too much to ask for? And I would like an automatic just because it’s easier, but would I get used to driving standard in a short amount of time? Because it seems like a hassle but I could always learn from one of my family members. If you think there is car that might fit some of these standards post it here. Thanks!
Im thinking of at some point buying a used eclipse but I cant seem to get a solid consenses of whether that particular model or even the brand is reliable. Some people say yes, some say no. I just dont want to make a mistake and buy a bad type car.
(I understand that it also involves whether the seller took care of the car or not, but I just want to know an overall review.)
my car will start most of the time but if it is running and i turn it off it wont start again right after i turn it off i usually have to wait about 15 min then it will start again. this just started to happen what could it be and how pricy is the repair
